Nintendo is keeping the Splatfest festivities moving forward with the next big topic following the showdown between ice cream and cake, as well as ketchup and mayo. The next big thing for Splatoon 2's Splatfest will tackle a controversial topic in the form of superheroes... more specifically, superhero powers.

Gamespot is reporting that coming off the Team Ice Cream versus Team Cake showdown, and Team Mayo versus Team Ketchup, the next fight will be Team Flight versus Team Invisibility.

This is one of the biggest showdowns because it has been one of the most talked about superhero debates of all time. Which power is better: flight or invisibility?

Players will have to pick a team and stick with it throughout the Splatfest, but picking will be difficult. I mean, come on... how do you choose?

A lot of comic book fans, superhero fans, and video game fans have had a difficult time deciding on this, and in Splatoon 2's upcoming Splatfest, they will have an even harder time deciding. In one case, you can fly as high as you want, so long as you don't lose consciousness going too high and then plummet back to the ground. Invisibility is awesome because you can secretly stop bad guys without them ever seeing you. The problem is that you would likely have to strip down or wear a special suit to make sure your whole body is invisible.

Although, with flight you can travel around the world anytime you want (just make sure you bundle up so you don't freeze to death while flying). But then you have to deal with bugs and birds possibly smacking into your head. With invisibility you can sneak into places you've never been allowed to go, like Area 51... but then there's the issue of heat signatures possibly picking you up.

Both powers have definite pros and cons, and they will face off in the upcoming Splatfest in Splatoon 2. The only thing is, there isn't an exact date just yet on when Flight vs Invisibility will take place. According to Gamespot an announcement should be coming soon, and this will allow gamers to prep to pick their side.

The stage will be the new Shifty Station, which will be exclusively featured in the Splatfest rotation. Now, the real unique part here is that the Shifty Station has the ability to literally shift around in between matches, creating a different dynamic every time you play, something that wasn't present in the original Splatoon on the Wii U.

The Splatfests usually last about 24 hours, so even if you miss the first half you might be able to sneak in some game time later on.

Splatoon 2 is currently available on the Nintendo Switch as an exclusive. The third-person shooter has already started off strong on the sales charts and will likely continue to do so if Nintendo keeps the Splatfests fresh and rolling out during the height of the game's popularity.
