With summer getting ready to wind down in the coming months, Microsoft wants to ensure that you're spending the hot sweltering days inside and soaking up plenty of electrical emissions from your big-screen TV by diving head-first into a huge collection of Xbox games. How can Microsoft ensure this? Well, by allowing gamers to get their hands on a ton of different games for dirt cheap prices. Microsoft unveiled a list of games that have been discounted this summer as part of the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale, which sees some of the biggest and best games in the Xbox library discounted by a significant margin so that gamers can fill up their library with some of the great games that Xbox has to offer.

Over on the Xbox promotion page, there's a list of games discounted for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The featured games include many recent releases, including Undead Labs' State of Decay 2, which just recently came out this spring for the Xbox One. The game is discounted by 20% off, so you can get the game for $23.99 instead of the regular $29.99 price point.

Other featured games include Ubisoft's open-world first-person shooter, Far Cry 5, which is 25% off and available for only $44.99. If you're an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, there's an extra discount bonus at up to 10% off, so Far Cry 5 is 33% off for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Games like NBA 2K18 benefit the most from the Xbox Live Gold discounts, given that the base game is 60% off the normal price, but the Gold discount is 67% off, so instead of paying $59.99 you can get the game for under $24.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the Battle Royale title from PUBG Corporation, is marked down to $22.49 from the regular $29.99 price point thanks to being slashed by 25% off for normal users and 33% off for Gold members. Activision and Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: WWII -- Gold Edition is also marked down by 25% off so you can get it for $44.99, while the Gold discount will net you a 35% off discount. Epic Games' wildly popular Fortnite is also discounted, in case you wanted to get your hands on the Founder's Pack, which is 40% off for normal users, so instead of paying $39.99 you only pay $23.99, but Gold members get a 50% off discount.

Other games with a 50% off discount for Gold subscriptions include Assassin's Creed: Origins and Rainbow Six: Siege, while ARK: Survival Evolved is actually brought down by 50% off for normal users and up to 60% off for Gold subscribers. So you can get the full ARK experience for only $30 on the Xbox One instead of $59.99.

Other noteworthy discounts include Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2, which is actually available for the steal-worthy price of just $10.00 after being marked down by 75% off for normal users and 85% off for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. A lot of gamers loved Titanfall 2, so it's worth picking up if you enjoy Call of Duty-style campaign modes with mechs, and online multiplayer modes with mechs.

Rockstar's GTA V is also marked down by 25% off for normal users and 33% off for Gold subscribers. This is one of the best selling games of all time, and if you haven't taken a dive into the experience yet, there doesn't seem to be a better time.

Now keep in mind that not every game gets the Xbox Live Gold bonus discount. Some of the games like Forza Motorsport 7 and Sea of Thieves only have normal discounts. But you can check through the catalog to see if there's anything that fits your fancy and is well within your budget.
