Is This Thanos' Vault From Avengers: Infinity War?

Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War is expecting to be a globetrotting affair... and not just that, but a celestial skipping extravaganza. Culminating the complete Marvel Cinematic Universe up to this point, Avengers: Infinity War unites every Marvel hero against Thanos (Josh Brolin), the Infinity Stone-seeking baddie with the gauntlet of alien steel. Is this the vault in which Thanos keeps his mighty gauntlet? Check it out, and speculate with us:

The Russos don't really use Twitter that often, preferring to "leak" photos to their own Instagram account. Like the time we saw them holding Mjolnir, which is supposed to be destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok. I digress. This new photo from the set of Avengers: Infinity War, currently filming in Atlanta, comes with no description, but it seems to resemble the vault that we have seen at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, when Thanos (Brolin) stepped in, slipped the glove on, and muttered, "Fine. I'll do it myself." Are Joe and Anthony Russo showing us the outside of the door to the vault where the Infinity Gauntlet rests?

It's really just the way that the doors to the chamber methodically open that make us believe this structure that the Russos are showing off could be the front of the door to the Infinity Gauntlet vault. But, seeing as how we expect Avengers: Infinity War to cover a whole host of realms in the MCU, this door really could be anything. It could be an Asgardian closet. It could be the men's room on a planet that the Guardians of the Galaxy are visiting before they are summoned to Earth to help the Avengers fight Thanos. It definitely isn't a wall in Spider-Man's high school. It looks too space-aged for that. What's your best guess?

In Avengers: Infinity War, the team is fractured following the events of Captain America: Civil War. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) are at odds, while Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) are off battling in a celestial gladiator tournament. The Marvel heroes are expected to unite after Thanos arrives, but we are assuming they will need the assistance of the likes of Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and the entire MCU to stop this new and terrifying threat.

We'll continue to track the progress of Avengers: Infinity War, and enjoy all of the sneak peeks that Joe and Anthony Russo drop from the set. As for this mysterious structure, tell us in the comments below what you believe it to be.
