It's no secret that Star Wars is everywhere right now. With Disney now in charge of the property, there are a bevy of exciting projects being produced at an given time, bringing the generation of fans a little closer to the galaxy far, far away. Just about everyone is a fan of Star Wars at this point, including Natalie Portman's children. Portman is known for her role as Padme in the prequel trilogy, but it's actually her connection to the current films that they were excited for. While filming Annihilation, Star Wars: The Last Jedi was also shooting-- both of which starred Oscar Isaac. Because of this, Portman was able to get her kids onto set, making her basically the coolest mom ever. She said,

We did [visit the set] in another like, 'Aren't I a cool mom?' move. I was like, 'We can go to the Star Wars set.' Oscar hooked us up.

It looks like Natalie Portman was one of few visitors on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. She got the hook up from Oscar Isaac, which is nothing short of the royal treatment for the former Queen of Naboo.

Natalie Portman's charming comments come from her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! are sure to give hardcore Star Wars fans a case of the feels. While George Lucas' prequel trilogy may often be the butt of jokes among the fandom, Portman put a ton work into her iconic role as Padme Amidala. She was the leading lady of those movies, so it's great seeing The Force so strong with both her son and daughter. She's also the mother of franchise heroes Luke and Leia, which just makes it all too poetic and awesome.

Since Natalie Portman's kids are fans of Star Wars, one has to wonder if they've gotten around to watching any of the prequels. It must be an interesting experience to be watching your favorite franchise, only for your mother to pop up and get into a blaster fight. You'd think that would be enough to make her the coolest mom ever award, but it's apparently her connection to the current trilogy that is more exciting.

Star Wars sets are notoriously strict, but it would make sense that Natalie Portman would be allows to visit. Aside from having Oscar Isaac's connection, Portman certainly understands the secrecy of the franchise. She had to due a ton of press back in the day, mostly unable to tease what to expect next. Things have only gotten more strict in the past few years, with the constant threat of spoilers looming above the series as a whole. Luckily it's paid off, and movies like The Last Jedi could effectively surprise moviegoers.
