The Thanos Subreddit Has Started Banning Its Members, And The Reactions Are Gold

At this point, the iconic ending of Avengers: Infinity War has become famously meme-worthy, with internet culture inspired by Thanos' use of the Infinity Stones to wipe out have of existence... but not in a bad way. That awesome moment has extended to Reddit as well, as the Thanos Did Nothing Wrong page has pulled off a similar move by banning half of its users. Now that the online "snap" has taken place, reactions have started to hit the web, and they are nothing less than remarkable. Here's what Marvel Studios had to say about the moment.

Creepy, right? The folks behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe clearly understand how effective the finale of Avengers: Infinity War was, and they're all in on keeping the enthusiasm going until the release of Avengers 4 next year. It even looks like Thanos got on their Twitter account because the response to the "balance" was one of approval.

Of course, that was far from the only response to the widespread subreddit ban. In fact, the Ant-Man Twitter account echoed the ending of Ant-Man and The Wasp, using Scott Lang's desperate screams from the Quantum Realm to chime in on the conversation.

The dreaded "snap" became a highly-anticipated moment for many fans online as well. In fact, one Twitter user took to social media to post about the sheer amount of anxiety that went into the wait for it to finally happen.

Of course, due to the very nature of the "snap," not everyone was able to stay on the subreddit. In response to being banned, one user echoed the pious nature of The Black Order to express gratitude for being allowed to take part in the process and offer up a sacrifice in the name of order and balance.

That said, not everyone was banned when all was said and done. In fact, one user went to social media to gloat about making the cut, using a fan-favorite Star-Lord GIF from Avengers: Infinity War to do so. Check it out, below.

Though the buildup for the Thanos Did Nothing Wrong Ban has ended, and the bans have begun in full force, those who have taken part generally seemed to love the process. Following the conclusion of the "snap," one user took to Twitter to explain that this is actually one of the best things that Reddit has ever seen.
