New How To Train Your Dragon 3 Clip Is Exciting And Beautiful

Next year, Dreamworks Animation has the chance to put a bow on the How to Train Your Dragon series and cement it as one of cinema's great trilogies. What we've seen so far indicates that this final chapter will bring everything to a satisfying conclusion. Now we have another look at the film thanks to a new clip that premiered at New York Comic Con over the weekend. Check out the exciting and beautiful clip from How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World below:

Although short, this gorgeous How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World clip gives you everything you expect from this series, and even without seeing any other footage it's enough to sell you on the movie. This whole series has been a visual feast and that looks to continue in this third film. Everything from the simple beauty of the sunset to the magnificence of the dragons' home teases a film that you want to live in and explore.

If you were laboring under the delusion that you were going to make it through this movie without tearing up, this clip throws that right out the window. This _How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World preview _really hammers home the emotion and how this film will bring this journey to a close. That's exciting, and you get an epic and emotional feel from the whole thing.

Like many great stories, with the end in sigh, this clip looks back to the beginning. We see Hiccup as a baby, being held by his father, Stoick the Vast, who died a Viking's death in the last film. The relationship between Hiccup and Stoick is one of the central relationships in this trilogy, so it is cool to reflect on when Hiccup was a kid now that the end is in sight.

Stoick's narration also speaks to the overarching narrative and themes of this saga. Hiccup's destiny, to establish peace and understanding between different species, should finally be realized in this film. That peace all started with the beautiful friendship between Hiccup and Toothless that is central to the How to Train Your Dragon films. It is clear that The Hidden World will not forget that. The sun looks to set on the past and rise on a beautiful new world for these characters.

Personally, I don't need to see anymore; I'm sold. But I'm not going to say no to more trailers either, and it looks like another one is on the way. The clip lets us know that a new trailer for How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is on the way and will arrive on October 25th, so be sure to be on the lookout here on CinemaBlend.

As for the full film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World flies in to theaters on February 22, 2019. For all of the biggest movies coming to theaters next year, check out our 2019 release schedule.
