Congratulations are in order for Robin Thicke and his girlfriend, April Love Geary. This week, Geary shared the news that she and Robin Thicke are expecting a child. The 22-year-old model hopped on social media to post a sonogram picture with an announcement of the pregnancy and a special note about the due date. Apparently, the couple might welcome their little one on what would have been the 71st birthday of Robin Thicke's late father, Alan Thicke. Check it out:
How special is that? The child will be the first for April Love Geary and the second for Robin Thicke. Geary is a proud mom-to-be, and she shared a second Instagram photo of herself in Hawaii. Whether or not the child is born on Alan Thicke's birthday, Robin Thicke and April Love Geary must feel moved by the due date. After all, it has been less than a year since Alan Thicke died of a heart attack on December 13, 2016. After the death of the Growing Pains star, Robin Thicke paid tribute with loving words on social media and said,
He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let's all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you, Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love.
Plus, it seems like April Love Geary shared a special bond with her boyfriend's famous father. Back in 2015, Alan Thicke spoke highly of Geary and called her "lovely." He said that he and his wife, Tanya Thicke, liked her a lot. Alan Thicke also indicated that he appreciated how supportive she was of Robin Thicke while he worked on his music. Tanya Thicke also praised Geary and called her "a very beautiful, smart, mature young lady."
Robin Thicke and April Love Geary began dating in 2014. Their first public outing was at a party in Cannes in May of the following year. Since then, Geary has not shied away from public displays of affection with Thicke. The 22-year-old model often takes to social media to post pictures of them being lovey-dovey in chic locales like Bali, Indonesia, and Paris, France.
Robin Thicke and his actress ex-wife, Paula Patton, share a seven-year-old son, Julien Fuego Thicke. Patton separated from Thicke in 2014 and divorced him that year. Since then, the former spouses have been in the thick of a heated custody battle over their son.
