John Stamos Welcomes Baby Boy With Adorable Pic

John Stamos is best known for playing Uncle Jesse on Full House. After getting married earlier this year, we learned Stamos was going to be a new dad, and now, he's a father for the first time. Earlier this weekend, the 54-year-old television actor welcomed his first son, Billy, into the world with his wife, Caitlin McHugh. There's a photo to prove it, too. Check out the adorable first look at young Billy Stamos, below.

As John Stamos notes in the caption, Billy Stamos is named after John's late father. This shouldn't be a surprise, considering that when John Stamos first announced the baby news late last year, he posted a lovely tribute to his pop. The actor is overjoyed by the recent reveal of his first child, and he hasn't kept that a secret. Last week, during the premiere of Bob Saget's new movie Benjamin, John gushed about his excitement over being a dad.

I've waited my whole life for this. I just can't. I'm already so emotional and so excited... I've been dreaming about our baby. I mean, I am really excited.

These last few months have been an emotional ride for John Stamos. He only got married to his previously pregnant wife, Caitlin McHugh, two months ago. And that was also just a few months after John Stamos proposed during a trip to Disneyland. Nevertheless, John Stamos seems as happy as can be.

While it's rare for someone in their fifties to jump into fatherhood for the first time, John Stamos credits his recent life endeavor to his supporting wife. He recognizes that she's the one who has made it possible through his confidence and positive attitude. Stamos has no shortage of nice things to say, previously calling his wife "beautiful" and "magical" during her pregnancy, and noting "how lucky" he is to be a father. And his acting career isn't going half badly, either.

As an actor, John Stamos reprises his beloved role as Jesse Katsopolis in a reoccurring role on Netflix's Fuller House. He'll next appear in a completely different show this fall, however. He's also set to appear in Lifetime's new series You, which is the latest series from television superstar Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon), where he'll play a character named Dr. Nicky. Don't expect him to play nice on this new show. It's scheduled to premiere on September 9th. Additionally, there's also a biographical series about John Stamos's early start in Hollywood in the works with streaming giant Amazon. Stamos is an executive producer on the upcoming drama series, which will focus on the actor's early years on General Hospital, but it's unclear if he'll make any onscreen appearances. But of course, John Stamos is focused entirely on his first child at the moment.

Congratulations to Caitlin McHugh and John Stamos for welcoming their first child together. As you can tell, their excitement his pretty contagious. We should expect to see even more photos of the couple and their cute little bundle of joy in the months to come. Stay tuned for more updates from them here at CinemaBlend.
