Original Grey's Anatomy cast member Sandra Oh has an answer for everyone wondering whether or not she is willing to return to the medical drama. Oh gave an important preface before answering, and on the day she was asked, the answer was not the answer many fans may want to hear. Albeit, it is the one Oh has for them. On the potential of returning to Grey's Anatomy, Oh said:

I get the question regularly, and I answer it really based on what I'm feeling that day- and today is no.

Sandra Oh's answer to TV Line sounds as though that door is relatively closed. The actress played Christina Yang for ten seasons, before leaving the show in 2013. Five years later, she has found continued success as title protagonist Eve Polastri on the hit crime drama Killing Eve. While Sandra Oh is absolutely slaying it on the BBC America thriller, Grey's Anatomy fans may still be hoping for her to return to the medical drama someday.

The actress recently revealed that her tenure on the show helped her land the role, which is a pretty awesome endorsement for Grey's Anatomy. While Sandra Oh may be shutting down a return to the show now, she is grateful to Grey's Anatomy fans. As it turns out that the legion of Grey's fans are not the only ones who care for the much-beloved Dr. Christina Yang. Oh shares their enthusiasm for the character, saying:

I also love Cristina Yang. I'm constantly stunned at the response I still get from [Grey's fans], you know? It's so fantastic, and it pleases me. It gives me a tremendous amount of satisfaction that, you know, you did work that actually continues going on past the time you left it... It's really phenomenal. And the only way that I think I can continue doing good work is just staying true to my own compass. And that compass is pointing North.

In the same interview, Sandra Oh expressed her affection for the character she's currently playing. Some actors are fortunate enough to have one role they really love in their careers. So how cool is it that Oh already has two? While she has received five Emmy nominations for her performance as Dr. Yang, Oh is awaiting word on whether she will receive one for her role on Killing Eve. There is intense critical buzz behind her performance. Joining in the acclaim has been CinemaBlend's, Nick Venable.

Given the Emmys' previous recognition of Sandra Oh's work on Grey's Anatomy, there is a strong reason to believe they will follow suit with a nod for her celebrated performance on the crime thriller. Oh has a little over a month left before the Primetime Emmy nominations are announced on July 12.

If she is somehow snubbed, Sandra Oh is guaranteed another shot at it. Killing Eve has been renewed for a second season. Also meaning if she gets a nomination this year, Oh could double up next year. If she gets nominated, it would be her first Emmy nomination in the lead actress category. Grey's Anatomy and Killing Eve fans will be pulling for her.
