In spite of The Oprah Winfrey Show ending in 2011, its powerhouse host has remained at the fore of pop culture. Now Oprah Winfrey is set to broaden her horizons again, this time signing on to take a bite out of Apple. Yes, the entertainment icon is teaming up with Apple to create new content for the tech giant's original programming. It is understandable if you are wondering: will Winfrey appear in any of the shows she produces?

Well, the answer is not exactly known. However, her deal with OWN will not keep her from doing so, per Deadline, just as her deal with OWN has not prevented her from her appearing as a contributor on the CBS newsmagazine 60 Minutes on a limited basis. The key phrase here is "limited basis." So what that means for her Apple shows is that she may not have a major or regular role in front of the camera, although no details are available at this point.

Oprah Winfrey joins a lot of talent at Apple. M. Night Shyamalan has a new show coming up with Apple, as do Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Winfrey is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after talents working, so it goes without saying that Apple landing Winfrey for a content partnership is a huge deal!

Along with her Apple deal, Oprah Winfrey is the CEO of OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Winfrey's deal with Apple is a multi-year agreement, which means fans expect to see Oprah-Apple content for some time to come. Apple making arrangements with mega-stars will not be lost on prospective viewers. Time will tell how big of an audience it delivers to Apple.

In the years since The Oprah Winfrey Show came to an end in 2011, Oprah Winfrey has kept super busy. Among her myriad of endeavors, she has remained active in her acting career. She most recently starred in Disney's A Wrinkle in Time as Mrs. Which. Incidentally, she co-starred in that movie alongside Reese Witherspoon, who as mentioned above also has a deal with Apple.

This past January, Oprah Winfrey received the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 75th Golden Globe Awards. Her rousing acceptance speech was one of the most talked-about moments of the awards show. Fans can now look forward to her making some of the most talked-about content on Apple.
