The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be without one of its original cast members when it returns for Season 11. Shereé Whitfield has announced she is exiting the Bravo reality show. Whitfield confirmed the news on Instagram via the platform's disappearing Story feature, with which she also shared the reason for her decision to exit the series. So, what made her decide to leave?

Shereé Whitfield explained that it was because of the money she was offered to continue with the show, which she referred to as a "low ball offer." Whitfield made sure she left nothing to the imagination regarding the circumstances of her exit. She also stated that it was her decision to leave, not The Real Housewives of Atlanta's, as she had "declined" their offer, per EW. Despite her announcement, there is some good news to be gleaned for fans of the reality star.

The, now-former, Real Housewife of Atlanta shared that her fans may be seeing her again soon. Whether that will come via another Bravo series or a possible run on Dancing with the Stars, is a scenario only time can figure out. The reality dance competition has been home to Housewives in the past. Why not Shereé Whitfield in the future? Stay tuned.

Given that Shereé Whitfield has returned to The Real Housewives of Atlanta in the past, there is certainly reason to hope a more amiable deal can be reached in the future for her to return again. This exit marks Whitfield's second departure from the series. She originally left in Season 4. She returned in a limited capacity in Season 8, before eventually reprising her role as a regular cast member in the series' two latest seasons. As of now, she has starred in six seasons of the series as a Housewife.

Now, fans will have to wait and see who Real Housewives of Atlanta brings in to replace Shereé Whitfield. The news comes as Whitfield's co-star Kenya Moore has announced on Twitter that there has been no movement in negations with the show for her return. In the same tweets, she shared that she was offered the same money given to cast members who star on the series in a "friend" capacity, despite the program's desire for her to do the "same job" and show her "family and baby story" on camera.

As fans of the series know, the role of a Housewife friend traditionally means having less airtime than a main Housewife. Although being a friend is a critical role on the series. Fans will have to stay tuned to learn how things work out for Kenya Moore. For now, we do know that Shereé Whitfield is done with the show.

Find out how the reality series handles her exit when it returns. The Real Housewives of Atlanta should be back for Season 11 this fall on Bravo. For new television shows coming soon, check out CinemaBlend's guide to TV's summer premieres.
